The League of Legends World Championship 2026 is in its decisive phase in the United States, and Brazil is still alive. Los Grandes, the CBLOL champion, has a 1-2 record in the Swiss stage and needs to keep winning to reach the quarterfinals.
Los Grandes' campaign
The Brazilian team had a tough start. It lost its opening match to T1 and then fell to G2. In the elimination match, it beat Team Secret Whales 2-0 and stayed in the tournament. Each new loss now means elimination.
The favorites
DK and Gen.G were the first teams to qualify for the quarterfinals, both with a perfect 3-0 record. T1, champion in 2023, 2024 and 2025, lost to DK in the second round and is chasing a fourth straight title.
FURIA out in the Play-In
Brazil's second representative did not get far. In the Play-In, held at the Riot Games Arena in Los Angeles from October 15 to 18, FURIA beat Cloud9 3-1 but lost 3-1 to MVK and was eliminated. Karmine Corp won the Play-In.
Schedule
- Swiss stage: October 23 to 31, in Allen, Texas.
- Quarterfinals: November 3 to 6, also in Allen.

Prize pool

The coming days will decide the remaining quarterfinal spots. For Brazilian fans, every Los Grandes match is now a final, and a spot in the playoffs would be one of the best results for the CBLOL at a Worlds.
